- OXIDE was founded by Yasunori Furukawa, the first person to utilize the national civil servant side-job system.*In October 2003, Furukawa retired from the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) to focus on his role as President.

- Successfully developed Super LN/LT new products (world's first) and commenced sales at international exhibitions.

- Received The Director's Award for the 14th Annual Small and Medium-sized Enterprises New Technology/Product.

- Received the Technology Award at the 32nd Annual Japan Crystal Growth Association Conference.
