QPM
In femtosecond lasers, optical combs, broadband light sources, and similar systems, the wavelength bandwidth of the incident laser light may not be uniquely or stably determined. Furthermore, when performing wavelength conversion of such light, it can be difficult to determine the appropriate parameters, such as whether to prioritize efficiency in terms of power or to maintain pulse width and bandwidth. For such applications, a QPM device design that can easily identify an optimal solution is the bandwidth selectable device. By varying the interaction length for wavelength conversion or continuously changing the chirping, it becomes possible to arbitrarily select the wavelength bandwidth of both the incident and converted light.
