QPM

Most of the wavelength conversion elements for ultraviolet generation that have been put into practical use (CLBO, β-BBO, LBO) employ the birefringent phase matching (BPM) method. Furthermore, all of these materials, to varying degrees, are hygroscopic, requiring that the optical system be placed in a special chamber with a controlled dry environment. PP-LBGO is a QPM device that can resolve both of these issues as a crystal for ultraviolet generation. By controlling ferroelectric polarization, wavelength conversion can be readily achieved. It is a device that can be handled easily without concern for humidity during use.

Features

･There is no walk-off in QPM.
･It transmits down to the deep ultraviolet region (220 nm~).
