Optics for laser application

CLBO crystals are widely used in laser systems as wavelength conversion crystals in the 190?300 nm range. This is because they have an absorption edge at approx.180 nm, transmitting into the deep UV region, and feature low birefringence.
CLBO crystals have higher laser damage thresholds than other UV wavelength conversion crystals and are attracting increasing attention as the demand for higher-power lasers grows.
