Optics for laser application

Mg:SLT is a LiTaO3 crystal with stoichiometric composition grown by the DC-CZ method. Compared to conventional congruent crystals, it has about 1/1000 fewer Li defects, higher thermal conductivity, and improved photo-damage resistance due to MgO doping. With a transmission range from the UV region in the 300nm range to the mid-infrared up to 5000nm, high thermal conductivity, and large nonlinear and electro-optic constants, it can be used for wavelength conversion and modulation elements of tens of watts class CW infrared light.
