Optics for laser application

Lithium tetraborate (LB4) crystals have potential as materials for polarizers across a wide wavelength range, from the UV to VIS and IR. This is because its absorption edge is at approx. 160 nm, transmitting deep into the UV region, and it features high birefringence. The crystal diameter is approx. 85 mm, making it also suitable for use in relatively large aperturer polarizers.
Our LB4 crystals are grown under optimized conditions to high-quality grade suitable for use as laser optical components.
