Sub-grain boundary-free stoichiomatric LiTaO3 crystals were successfully grown.

  • Low defect density (100times lower) 
  • Wide transparent region (UV cut-off 20nm lower)
  • Large EO and NLO constants (d33 >26.2pm/V)
  • Small coercive field (<1~2kV/mm)
  • High photorefractive damage threshold (>5MW/cm²@532nm, cw laser)
  • High laser damage threshold (>2GW/cm²@1064nm, pulse laser)
  • There is almost no birefringence index
  • No GRIIRA (Green Induced IR Absorpution)
  • Subgrain boundary-free stoichiometric LiTaO3 crystals were successfully grown.
