This is an FBG-type CW fiber laser. As it is an FBG-type fiber laser, it offers high stability and is maintenance-free. By changing the FBG, it is possible to select any wavelength between 1050-1090 nm. With fiber output, the output layout can be configured freely.
This is a wavelength-conversion laser employing an FBG-type CW fiber laser as the fundamental light source in a single pass configuration. Because the wavelength conversion process is single pass and does not form a resonator, it is stable against environmental fluctuations. The residual fundamental light that is not converted is emitted outside the wavelength converter, so there is no significant heat source inside the converter. Consequently, when mounted on measurement equipment and similar devices, it is not affected by heat-induced disturbances or vibrations from cooling fans. Furthermore, by extracting the unconverted residual light in the single pass configuration, it is also possible to generate two wavelengths from a single converter head.
